2004 to present Webmaster - Livermore Community Thanksgiving Dinner
Hosting and web development work to support the Livermore Community Thanksgiving Dinner web site (http://www.lctd.org).Created web site, hosted and manage development to support this site as a volunteer effort.

Created an open source project for volunteer signup called VolunteerCake which is hosted on SourceForge.net at http://volunteercake.sf.net/

2007 to 2008 Program Manager - Cascade Health Care - McKesson Clinicals Implementation
Acted as Program Manager on $17M McKesson Horizon Clinicals "big bang" implementation for the complete suite of clinical applications to replace Cerner, managing and coordinating several project managers for CHC with their McKesson counterparts.

Did turnaround work to get project pack on track, organized and implemented PMI project management techniques.

Developed charters and project plans, educated stakeholders on the project management practices and got project back on track by getting sponsors and stakeholders invested in the process.

2005 to 2008 Architect - John Muir Health - EDI systems support
Development of reusable jobs and processes to support electronic data interchange (EDI). Clean up code which is not production ready and make it production ready. Implementation and maintenance of an EDI gateway and the associated translation maps. Development and scripting with languages such as Java, Perl, Basic.

OO development and refactoring of existing code, upgrade existing systems to make them more reliable. Worked with ANSI X12 formats and trading partner implementation guides. Utilize Windows O/S (2000, XP), mapping tools, XML and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server and / or Sybase).

Support of John Muir Foundation Facets application and project to upgrade Facets and HIPAA Gateway.

2004 to 2005 Architect - Cisco Systems Care/Metrix/Calico replacement (C3)
As a member of the Foundational Enterprise Architecture team, reviewed projects related to Customer Advocacy IT.  Worked to ensure that they were designed in a way that is the best mix of meeting the short term project need and the long term flexibility for Cisco.

Led the design and architecture effort for new entitlement rules to capture metrics about the service order RMA process, comparing data gathered at the time the order is opened against data that is determined at the receipt of the returned part.

2003 to 2004 Architect - Cisco Systems Care/Metrix/Calico replacement (C3)
Worked on CMC framework enterprise architecture team to design and build the entitlement services. This is a multi-million dollar Oracle 11i implementation replacing several in-house and outdated systems that drive the service and support business for Cisco.
2002-2003 Architect - Cisco Systems - Technical Support Entitlement project
Worked as lead architect on a small project to provide a more flexible entitlement framework that would make entitlement more consistent throughout Cisco.
2003 Contributor - Cisco Systems - Web Services Infrastructure Team
Worked with the technical leaders across Cisco on the selection of preferred vendors to support the Web Services Infrastructure to drive that architecture across Cisco. Reviewed vendor proposals, capabilities and gave input to management team.
2001-2002 Architect - Cisco Systems - Contract Install Base Entitlement Repository (CIBER)
Designed architecture for the Dynamic Entitlement Verification Object (DEVO) to be used by the Customer Advocacy group to verify service entitlement in a consistent manner,  reduce revenue leakage, measure costs, and provide a system which can scale to new business opportunities.

Led the team in building the Service Agreement Lookup Tool (SALT) using a MVC architecture consisting of Java Server Pages to expose DEVO. This application has become one of the most widely used applications in Cisco.

2000-2001 Architect - Money Suite Company XML Factory web service
Worked as Architect to design solution for The Money Suite Company to provide a scalable architecture that allows rapid development of web based calculators interacting via XML with a proprietary back-end system. System utilizes highly reusable code and advanced design patterns such as factor-forward-factor-back and model-view-controller. Delivered architectural blueprint within three-week discovery phase, including Rose UML diagrams and project plan.
2000-2001 Architect - Cisco Systems - IT4IT Reference Architecture design
Designed and delivered a reference architecture to be used by Cisco to support the IT project management life cycle by providing an open framewok for them to easily integrate disparate components into a common tool.
1999 Architect - Geocast - Data Acquisition for prototype device
Architect and technical lead for managing a small team to deliver data acquisition modules used by client to gather information and update database with high volume transactional information from a proprietary web service which required extremely quick response time. Project was done on a very short timeframe, delivered in approximately two weeks.
1999-2000 Architect - Branders.com - Corporate web site
Acted as lead developer and architect in project to develop extensions, and infrastructure code needed to implement Intershop for Branders.com eBusiness web site. Developed Perl modules and complex HTML for Branders site including the visualization component, which allows customers to see products with their artwork.

International Assignee Solutions
Lead architect and project manager responsible for developing the web presence for the International Assignee Solutions Technology group. Managed a small team, designed and implemented an internationalized web site used to gather data about Japanese nationals on assignment in the US.
